There is no course in schedule building in master of education programs to prepare administrators for building a campus’ master schedule; yet, it is one of the most important components of the knowledge base administrators must have to lead successful schools. Campuses and school districts need yearly training in master schedule building because school leaders always acquire new administrators, need to implement new programs, respond to adjusted budgets and new state directives, and handle changes in personnel, all the while maintaining an excellent, high performing school. Furthermore, campuses and school districts love working with Ed one-on-one as he helps and guides them to build and maintain a great schedule for their needs.

Ed believes school administrators need to be given research based, proven and practical strategies in building schedules that they can apply immediately – to use with any student software system – knowing that their schedule will work, will have minimal conflicts, counselors will spend significantly less time changing schedules at the beginning of the school year, and teachers’ rosters will not be changed two and three weeks into the school year.
